Through its ‘Gear Up for Sport’ initiative, the organisation is helping youth teams by giving away 300 sports kits each month to eligible applicants. From basketball to boxing, rugby to running clubs, youth teams aged 4 – 15 with up to 30 members will be eligible to apply. With an ongoing dedication to equality, diversity and inclusion, it hopes to inspire a new generation of sporting stars.

The brand giant Adidas has always placed great importance on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), particularly in its support and partnerships with diverse athletes and marginalised communities. The organisation embraces EDI to ‘Create An Equal Playing Field for all’ within three guiding pillars – people, culture and accountability.

In boxing and other sports, Adidas has committed to increasing female representation and supporting female talents.

For the brand, equality isn’t just a sporting game, through ongoing community-focused initiatives and promoting equality in all sports, Nike is committed to increasing inclusion and empowering everybody to live a more fulfilled life.

To support LGBTQ+ communities, the brand launched BeTrue – an initiative that honours LGBTQ+ athletes who have used their voices for change and to drive visibility in sports like boxing.

DAZN

As a leader in the global sports ecosystem, DAZN, the British sports streaming network and entertainment platform, understands the immense power of sports to transform lives and communities. The organisation is a firm believer that sport can be a catalyst for change and must become a safe space for all.

To support boxing in particular, DAZN has made great steps to promote equality through its involvement with the Haringey Box Cup – Europe’s largest open boxing tournament, which champions grassroots boxers and up-and-coming sports stars across the country.

Sky Sports

Sky Sports has reaffirmed its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion by pledging £30m to accelerate action on racial injustice across the sporting world and to invest more in inclusion.

The broadcaster launched its ‘Kick It Out’ initiative, which includes creating educational content for sports fans, and boosts transparency and insight reports on a range of issues relating to diversity, discrimination and inclusion in sport.

Additionally, the media giant has become a leader in the promotion of gender equality, with women playing an ever-expanding role at Sky Sports.
