TFA Ltd – Boxing APPG

TFA Ltd.’s All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Boxing has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to corporate social responsibility through its role in promoting the positive impact of boxing.

By facilitating key discussions on how the sport can help reduce crime, improve mental health for individuals in communities across the country and promote gender equality in and out of the ring, TFA’s Boxing APPG has helped position the sport as a powerful tool for social change.

Matchroom Boxing Community Foundation

Matchroom in the Community is a visionary initiative aimed at bridging the gap between amateur and professional boxing. The aim of the charitable and social enterprise arm of Matchroom Boxing is to leverage its platform and influence to foster meaningful connections, inspire future talent and transform the sport from grassroot levels upwards.

The community foundation is dedicated to supporting and furthering the communities that host them. Through direct engagement and participation, the initiative seeks to inspire individuals and showcase the positive impact boxing can have on their lives and wider society.

Anthony Joshua Foundation

Founded by heavyweight legend, Anthony Joshua, the foundation of the same name, launched in 2018, is focused on empowering and inspiring young people through education, skills training and community support services.

The foundation reflects Joshua’s commitment to giving back to communities and helping people achieve prosperity, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. To achieve this, it offers mentorship, access to leading resources and opportunities to create positive change for others.

BT Sport Boxing Community Programme

Launched by BT Sport, the Boxing Community programme was established to use the sport as a springboard to bring about positive societal change. By partnering with grassroots boxing clubs and charitable organisations throughout the UK, the initiative aims to provide young people to channel their energies and focus on boozing activities, promoting discipline and fitness, as well as supporting mental health and wellbeing.

Through this programme, the broadcasting network showcased its commitment to using its platform to have a positive impact on society.

Frank Warren Promotions Educational Scholarships

In a bid to go above and beyond to support and develop local communities, often those in the most disadvantaged and hard-to-reach areas of the country, legendary boxing promoter Frank Warren set up scholarships for students with sporting artistic promise.
The aim of these educational scholarship opportunities is to give children access to opportunities that may have previously been beyond their reach purely because of where they were born and their socio-economic background.

Sky Sports Boxing Ringside Charity Auctions

Sky Sports, a global broadcasting giant, continues to show that its impact goes far beyond the television and online. The broadcasting network engages in ringside auctions with proceeds going towards charitable organisations and initiatives that align with the event’s cause, including supporting grassroots boxing clubs, youth development and donating to mental health awareness.

Typical charitable auctions will feature signed memorabilia, exclusive experiences or VIP access to events.

Adidas – Move For The Planet

Earlier this year, Adidas was proud to announce the second year of the brand’s ‘Move for the Planet’ global initiative, which funds projects in areas impacted by extreme weather conditions around the world.

The leading brand is calling on all athletes at every level across the world to track their physical activity across a variety of sports to raise money for projects in areas impacted by heatwaves, flooding and other extreme weather conditions.

Sports Direct – A cleaner shade of green

Through its ‘A Cleaner Shade of Green’, Sports Direct is encouraging customers to think and act more sustainably to better the environment and the planet by changing their washing routines.

It may seem simple, but the organisation is showing just how effective it can be, encouraging customers to make a positive impact on their environmental footprint by reducing their personal energy and water usage – making their laundry schedules greener and making a big difference.

Boxing Futures – Box Out Of It

Boxing Futures’ ‘Box out of it’ campaign offers mixed groups of young people the opportunity to enjoy healthy physical activity whilst developing a range of soft skills, including teamwork, communication, time keeping and commitment.

The structured programmes encourage teambuilding, friendship and positive social interactions between young people and the chance to develop new habits to access further opportunities.

DPL Group – Supporting Local Talent

As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, DPL Group has committed to supporting local talent, particularly in sports.

The group has sponsored rising heavyweight star Fabio Wardley, who hails from their hometown of Ipswich. As part of this sponsorship, DPL Group not only supports Wardley’s career as he continues his impressive undefeated streak but also invests in the local community by backing homegrown talent.
